Leu Gardens Elopement on film
Nestled in the heart of Orlando, Harry P. Leu Gardens offers the perfect mix of lush greenery and serene paths — a peaceful escape from the city. It is one of the venues that we photograph couples most often and it’s one of our favorites.
Shooting this elopement on 35mm film added a timeless layer to the day. Every frame felt deliberate — a moment worth keeping. The soft tones and subtle imperfections gave the photos an authenticity that digital sometimes can’t replicate. The laughter, the quiet glances, the highlights of the sun on their face — all of it became part of the story, preserved in the texture of film grain.
My couple wanted their day to be simple and genuine — no big production, just two people promising forever in a garden filled with color and calm, in front of their closest family and friends. It was intimate, emotional, and utterly theirs.
Film reminds me to slow down and be present, and this day at Leu Gardens was the perfect reminder of why I fell in love with storytelling through photography in the first place.
